This poor blog has been neglected over the last few months, but as I revamp my teeny business, I’m going to be using the blog a lot more. But first, I want to blog all the sessions that have happened since lissa laine launched in November of 2011. And thus, project back blog has been born! I’ll be posting weekly blogs about older shoots and lead up to the newer stuff. Enjoy!

I love dogs, but I’m never been really sure about pugs. Little chubby dogs with smushed in faces – sure the concept seemed nice, but the idea was always ‘meh’ to me. But this weekend completely changed my mind when I met three adorable little pugs who made me fall head-over-heels for the breed. Their owner, the lovely Colette, invited me over to take some pictures of these spoiled pups and here are a few of my favourite images!

Look at that super cute little smooshed face.

And a couple of shots of the cats!

I love the holidays.
Sure, the stress of family can be difficult, you almost always end up with food babies from overeating and your credit card balance leaves you bawling on the floor; BUT the merriment & joy that surrounds the holidays makes it all worth it.
Some of the kids of our family decorated a gingerbread house on Christmas Eve. I know it’s a little late to do a holiday blog post, but after my first day back at work, I could use a reminder of the Christmas magic!

There was a lot of “elmo” themed gingerbread men made!

Also…it was important to my 10 year old cousin that the gingerbread people were anatomically correct.

Just some bokeh of my Christmas tree lights.

I hope all you lissalaine readers enjoyed love, happiness and food over your holidays!

Hello fantastic fans & followers:
Welcome to the lissalaine photography blog! Make sure you bookmark the site; this is the place where new photos will be posted. I do ask for a bit of patience – this website & blog has been created while I recover from having an oh-so-incredibly-painful tonsillectomy. It will be a while before new photos are posted as it will be a while before I am healthy enough to take pictures!
In the meantime, I wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season.
(if only we could all get adorable kittens for presents!)
